Keep Hospitals Open & Thriving
MHA seeks the continuation of advanced healthcare services for all communities in need.
MHA’s goal is not only to save hospitals from closure, but to continue providing advanced healthcare services to the community so patients can have quality, fast, customer service-focused medical care close to home.
MHA’s intent is to operate struggling hospitals as acute care facilities with robust emergency department, medical, surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and behavioral health medical services.
The MHA team has personal and professional connections to Chicago, with first-hand experience with healthcare services and technologies. MHA is familiar with the community’s needs, healthcare delivery challenges, and political landscapes.
MHA seeks to work alongside Federal, State, and Local officials as well as community leaders in order to coordinate efforts to confront local resource demands at distressed hospitals.
A Vision for the Future of Hospitals
Hospital Non-Profit or For-Profit Status to Remain
Governed by local community board of trustees with community involvement in healthcare delivery.
Community-Led Board
Hospital Boards of Directors should be comprised of members of the community which the hospital serves.
Health Equity Outreach
MHA conducts ongoing needs assessments, in conjunction with organizations and business groups, to understand the most effective ways to address community needs.
Comprehensive Medical Care
Full service hospitals should remain acute care facilities with ER, inpatient, surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and behavioral health services.
New Type of Healthcare Delivery
Doctors and hospitals should be paid to keep patients healthy, not just when they are sick.
Financial Resources
MHA has financial partners poised to fund hospital turnaround efforts very quickly.
